General Information on obtaining a Weapons Act License for Category H
STEP 1 - Eligibility and Membership of approved pistol clubs
A person cannot apply for membership to an approved pistol club unless that person submits with their application for club membership the following information:

If you are not current firearm licence holder (i.e. Cat A B) you will need to obtain a current "QP-515 Statement of Eligibility" from the Queensland Police Service (Weapons Licensing Branch), that you are a fit and proper person to hold a license. This statement is current for 3 months after the day it is signed by the Authorised Officer, Weapons Licensing Branch.
Procedure for obtaining Statement of Eligibility from the Queensland Police Service. -
Submit form QP-515 Application for Statement of Eligibility to join an Approved Pistol Shooting Club at your local police station. There are no fees applicable when submitting this application. A Statement or Notice will be sent to the applicant at the address provided on the application.

2 character references from persons that the applicant has known for at least 2 years, that are not related to the applicant.
Once you have received your QP-515 from the Queensland Police and have your 2 character references, complete the club membership form and submit it to wallumbillarifleclub@gmail.com Payment of membership fees should be made to the Club bank account via direct deposit where possible:

On acceptance of your application, you will be issued:

Your Wallumbilla Rifle Club membership card; and

A QP-516 Pistol Club Shooters Participation Card.
STEP 2 - 6 Month Probation Period
During your probation period you are required to attend and participate in a minimum of 3 handgun shooting competitions in the 6 month period prior to you applying for your license. You are encouraged to participate in more competitions, if possible. You are also be required to complete a Safety course for Category H firearms.
STEP 3 - Application for Concealable Firearms License (Qld)
Once you have completed your 6 month probation period and have completed the minimum required competition shoots, you may submit your application for a license. You will require:

A current declaration by the REPRESENTATIVE of the approved pistol club, stating the applicant has:
- current financial membership with the club;
- been a member of the pistol club for the 6 month period; and
- participated in a least 3 competitions during the 6 months.

A copy of your Qld Firearms Safety Course Statement of Attainment (Category H)

A copy of your QP-516 Pistol Club Shooters Participation Card

Your completed Application for License form; and

The prescribed License fees
